Germans are extremely safety-driven. This is proved not only by the high number of insurances closed for all areas of life. The majority of the Germans also doesn’t leave the booking of their vacation to chance. 43% of all summer holiday 2017 were booked more than 11 weeks in advance. This was found out by Verband Internet Reisevertrieb e.V. (VIR), who analyzed the online bookings made over the systems of Traveltainment. Only 23% of all bookings were made “last minute” with a lead time of less than 2 weeks.
